The heatwave of spicy food trends isn't slowing down and now it's swimming up the snack food aisle.

Goldfish announced a new cheese cracker creation with Frank's RedHot for the snack company's first hot sauce flavor.

The brand said the flavor includes "notes of vinegar for acidity and a premium blend of aged cayenne peppers for the perfect blend of flavor and heat."

"We learned that adults are big fans of Goldfish and it's an appetite we've never fully satisfied," Janda Lukin, chief marketing officer of Campbell Snacks, said. "'Hot' is the number one most requested Goldfish flavor across social, so we wanted to bring the heat with an unexpected partnership between Goldfish and Frank's that fans will love."   A representative for the brand added that they had 35,000 requests for a hot variety of the classic.     The new flavor will hit shelves at retailers nationwide in May for a limited time while supplies last. The 6.6-ounce bag will cost $2.49.

Goldfish has also promoted a giveaway on social media where fans can unlock and use a custom AR filter on Instagram with specialty hashtags for a chance to win a first taste.
