Polls have closed in California where voters went to the polls to cast ballots in races for the state's governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state and attorney general as well as several House races while Los Angeles residents weighed in on the race for the city's mayor.
ABC News projects that incumbent Mayor Karen Bass will advance to a runoff, though it is currently unclear which candidate she will face in the runoff election.
ABC News projects that State Sen. Scott Wiener will advance to the general election in the race to represent California's 11th Congressional district, a seat which was previously held by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi. ABC News is not yet projecting which candidate Wiener will face.
