Beats launched its first-ever customizable, over-ear headphones, the Beats 360, on Wednesday, and they offer the brand's most personal listening experience to date. And to help debut them, the brand tapped Kendall Jenner to star in a surrealistic, funny campaign video in which the model plays all the characters in bustling cafe to represent how these headphones offer something for "every version of you."
"Kendall tailors her looks to fit every moment, so she needs a headphone that can change with her,” Beats CMO Chris Thorne said in a press release. "The film captures that perfectly, playfully showing every side of Kendall, and how Beats 360 keeps up with all of them."
The Beats 360 comes with the ability to swap out the ear cushions and headband cushion to create a color combo that complements your personal style or daily outfit, depending on the level of coordination you crave.
The headphone itself comes in four colorways -- pastel shades Sky and Pink, Black and Cloud, a cool-toned, creamy off-white shade -- while the cushions come in the same shades plus two more: Navy and Volt, a citrusy yellow-green. To swap out color combos, simply twist on your colorful pick of cushions for the day and voila, you have an instant accessory that's stylish and functional.
Bonus: Shoppers in the U.S. market (and various others globally) can purchase the Beats 360 Cushion Kit for $9.99 for a savings of $40 off the retail price before it kicks in after this introductory period.
Beats, a favorite of casual and serious listeners alike, claim this latest headphone offers "precision-engineered acoustic system delivers the brand's most innovative acoustic performance ever," aka the most advanced sound they've released so far.
Combined with the fitness-focused design and comfort, you can expect better noise cancellation that's adjustable for your environment, immersive and powerful sound with adaptive EQ that dynamically adjusts depending on what you're listening to, and dynamic head tracking, meaning the sound adjusts directionality as you move your head to keep you fully immersed in the music.
You can skip the wired headphones and have music for days thanks to 32 hours of battery life even with ANC and Personalized Spatial Audio on. The "Fast Fuel" feature is also a plus for those who forget to throw their headphones on the charger, allowing you up to one hour of playback with a five-minute charge.
For the environmentally conscious, the Beats 360 features 80% recycled plastic across its components, the highest percentage in a Beats product to date.
And easy-to-use controls are positioned behind the ear cups, allowing you to play, pause, power on and off, take calls and more without fumbling for your phone.
The Beats 360 are available on the Apple website now for $349.99, with the afore-mentioned Cushion Kits on introductory sale for $9.99. Check out the full range of products here, or scroll down to see some of our favorite pieces and colorways of these new Beats.
