Inspired by dance, the new GANNI and lululemon collaboration is available now.
Last week, lululemon and Cophenhagen fashion house GANNI announced their collaboration: A collection of 22-pieces of women's apparel, accessories and footwear, "inspired by their shared belief in the joy of movement," according to a press release.
Ditte Reffstrup, creative director at GANNI, drew inspiration from '80s dance movies: “I’ve always been drawn to the energy, determination and sense of freedom in those films, and the way dance becomes such a powerful form of self-expression," Reffstrup said.
"For the collection, we brought that 80s dance energy into the colors and details, then mixed it with GANNI signatures like leopard and frills, and lululemon’s world of movement," Reffstrup added.
Now, the collection has launched online, where shoppers will find everything from a leopard ruffle-trim jacket and matching tight to a slouchy pullover sweatshirt, barrel-leg pants, mesh tanks, grip socks and ruffled headbands, combining various aspects of the two brands' signatures.
