Exclusive 1st look at the trailer for 'Avengers: Infinity War'

— -- The first trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" dropped today on "Good Morning America" and it shows our favorite superheros facing off against Earth's greatest threat: Thanos.

But, while fans rejoiced at seeing Spider-Man, Captain America and others unite in the clip, per usual, the trailer raised more questions than it answered.

Marvel Universe spoilers ahead!

Here are the top five questions from the thrilling 2-minute clip!

1 - Love lost?

In the opening of the clip, you see Paul Bettany's Vision spending some quality time with Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch. This makes sense; the two got together in the books.

But will this love last? We later see Vision's infinity stone possibly being ripped out of his head so that Thanos (Josh Brolin) can put it in his Infinity Gauntlet.

For those that don't know, the Infinity Gauntlet is a weapon that can give unmatched power for the wielder, aka Thanos. We also see Thanos with two of these infinity stones -- but will he get more?

2 - Who might die?

Possibly Vision, as well as Spider-Man and Iron Man. In the teaser Thanos overpowers both Spider-Man and Iron Man easily. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige told Vanity Fair earlier this week that the final Avengers film will be a "finale." This means we might be losing a lot of our beloved heroes in the next two films.

3 - Heroes unite!

It's unclear so far why all the heroes we've met over the past 10 years are uniting. The next trailer may address this important point.

Early on, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) joins Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), among others, then Thor (Chris Hemsworth) meets the Guardians of the Galaxy at the very end. The stories of how these little groups within the greater whole unite will be fascinating and fun to watch!

4 - 'You will know what it's like to lose' - Thanos

Thanos is a serious threat to the gang, but why is he coming to Earth and looking to strike with his army of evil creatures?

In "Thor: Ragnarok," Cate Blanchett's goddess of death was defeated, or so it seemed. In the books, Thanos covets and even loves Lady Death. Is her death the reason for his anger? Or is he just the classic villain coming to take over the globe and kill all of humanity?

5 - Where does Loki stand?

Also, in the last "Thor," Loki seemed to redeem himself and join his brother in the good fight. But we see him take on the mighty Tesseract in this clip. Is he trying to save people or is once again looking for power and maybe a place in Thanos' ranks?

"Avengers: Infinity War" hits theaters on May 4.

ABC News and Marvel are both owned by parent company Disney.
