'The Bachelor' Premiere Recap: Juan Pablo Is in For a Dramatic Season

Jan. 6, 2014 -- The latest season of "The Bachelor" kicked off on Monday night, and it certainly had its fair share of drama.

In the two-hour premiere, Juan Pablo Galavis introduced his four-year-old daughter, Camila, to his millions of viewers -- and then met the 27 women hoping to capture his heart.

"I'm taking this as [seriously] as I can take it. It's my life and the life of my daughter, but I take a step back... And I'm like, 'Wow you're a lucky man.' I can find somebody to be my wife," he said. "I can't wait to fall in love."

Though some limo meetings went more smoothly than others, it was clear that the former soccer player was excited to get to know the women more. In the end, he presented Sharleen, an opera singer, with the first impression rose, before handing out the remaining flowers. In the end, Clare, Nikki, Renee, Andi, Alli, Chantel, Lauren S., Danielle, Chelsie, Cassandra, Kelly (and her dog Molly), Kat, Victoria, Christy, Lucy, Elise, and Amy L. were given the good news that they'd be moving on to the next level.

Alexis, Amy J., Ashley, Christine L, Kylie, Lacy, Lauren H., Maggie, Valerie were all sent home.
