— -- "Bachelorette" JoJo Fletcher is engaged to Jordan Rodgers.

The former NFL quarterback proposed in the season finale of the ABC reality TV show.

"I'm so unbelievably in love with you," he told her as they stood on the beach in Thailand. "You're my best friend. You're my soulmate. I'm going to keep you safe. I'm going to protect you. I'm going to wake up every morning and choose you over and over and over again until you tell me I can't."

"Jordan, I love you so much," Fletcher responded. "I didn't want you to get down on one knee until you knew that."

The reality TV star, 25, and Rodgers, 27, had chemistry from the beginning, and the "Bachelorette" star gave the athlete, whose brother is NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, her "first impression rose."

"I didn’t know what to expect from him. I knew that he was cute and I knew that he had some sort of fame but it didn't really play a factor in our relationship right off the bat," she told ABC News in May. "And night one I was expecting that to be a story with Jordan but he didn't lead with that."

Before the proposal, Robby Hayes was sent home.

"Every day I've been wanting it to be you. I fell in love with you. But for some reason my heart is somewhere else," JoJo cried to Robby.

Robby tried to make sense of it all as he was driven away -- the fact that she loved him but wouldn't marry him.

He handled the situation with class on the "After the Final Rose" special, calling Jordan a good friend and saying that he respects JoJo's "decision making."

"I loved you, and it was so great, but it wasn't that love that I wanted for the rest of my life," Fletcher added on the after-show.
