— -- After a compelling night on "The Bachelorette," contestant Nick Viall took to Twitter to defend Kaitlyn Bristowe, while the Bachelorette herself appeared on "Good Morning America" to talk about the much-hyped episode.

The morning after spending the night in Bristowe's hotel suite, she was noticeably feeling the guilt about getting so close to Viall, even breaking down in tears.

Viall tweeted in support, "There is a more to intimacy than just sex. Kaitlyn showed a lot of courage by admitting 2 having sex on national TV knowing that she will be unfairly judged by some."

He continued: "Sex is not shameful. Whether we admit it or not, sex is important part of many serious and meaningful relationships. Despite what we have been led to believe, both men & women have an emotional connection to sex that we all should respect."

Bristowe said Tuesday morning on "GMA," that "I am a very in the moment person and I tried to just separate each relationship, and they all move at different paces. And that one definitely moved a little quicker than others and maybe the timing wasn’t ideal on that one."

She continued, "I always wonder if I would have waited 10 days and it was the Fantasy Suite and I didn’t talk about it, would I be getting the same response from people? Probably not. I don’t know, I worried about jeopardizing other relationships."

Bristowe also fired back at any social media critics of the episode.

"I try to not look too much into it or read too much into it because, you know, everybody has their opinions and no matter what I did throughout this season people will have their opinions. It’s obviously tough when you get to a thousand and thousands of messages that are very negative but I just try to avoid it," she said.

Past "Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman, who had a relationship on the show with Viall, also weighed in with, "Rule no.1 Never kiss and tell, Rule no.2 Never kiss and tell twice.... #FianceTypeStuff #TheBachelorette."

If you are a fan of the show, you'll recall that Viall called out Dorfman on "After the Final Rose" after he wasn't chosen and revealed the two had "made love." She wasn't too happy back then. She didn't come out and say the tweet was about Nick, but it's pretty obvious.

Also on this week's episode, Shawn B. showed up to Bristowe's suit, upset about the date she had with Nick. That conversation will air next week on "The Bachelorette."
