'The Bachelorette' Recap: Kaitlyn Chooses the 2 Finalists, Meets Their Families
— -- "The Bachelorette" star Kaitlyn Bristowe has narrowed her options down to two men: Nick Viall and Shawn B.
She selected the finalists on Monday night's episode of the ABC series, presenting both with roses in Ireland while eliminating Ben H.
The season finale, scheduled to air in two weeks, could be a tense one, considering the animosity between Nick and Shawn.
Following their heated exchange last week, Nick made an attempt to have a "man-to-man talk" with Shawn on Monday night's show, but Shawn expressed little interest. He said, "I don't want to see you right now," and kicked Nick out of the room.
After having her overnight date with Nick last week, Kaitlyn got together with Ben H. for a horseback ride through the Galway, Ireland, countryside. They later had dinner at a 19th-century castle. Ben H. declared that he was in love with Kaitlyn, and accepted the fantasy suite invitation, calling it the "best sleepover ever!"
Kaitlyn brought Shawn to the golf course at the start of their overnight date, giving him a bright pink polo shirt to wear. On a dare, Shawn stripped off his clothes and putted naked. Kaitlyn took the opportunity to run off with the clothes.
At dinner, Kaitlyn asked Shawn about his feud with Nick, and learned of the conversation the two men had during last week's episode. Shawn again made it clear that he doesn't like Nick very much.
Shawn spent the night with Kaitlyn in the fantasy suite. After he left, he was greeted by Nick for the aforementioned "man-to-man" talk.
After Kaitlyn sent home Ben H. at the rose ceremony, she and the finalists headed to Montage Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, for meet-and-greets with both men's families.
First, she met Nick's parents, brothers and sisters. She explained to them how she'd bonded with Nick and how they balance each other out. Kaitlyn walked away feeling Nick's family is "incredible."
Kaitlyn also met with Shawn's dad, sisters and aunt. Kaitlyn spoke of the instantaneous attraction she felt with Shawn. His family said they could see the love between Kaitlyn and Shawn. His dad told him he was 100 percent behind him.
In a private moment, Shawn told Kaitlyn, "When we were back in Texas I told you I was falling in love with you, and that’s not the truth, because I am in love with you and I have been for a while."
Kaitlyn appeared touched, but after leaving Shawn she became emotional while wondering how she'll choose between her two remaining suitors.
ABC will air the "Men Tell All" special, reuniting the eliminated "Bachelorette" contestants, next Monday night, followed by the season finale on July 27.
