— -- Bethenny Frankel may be one of New York’s best known housewives, but the reality star admits that until now she has never really felt she had a home.

“This is the first real home I’ve had in my entire life,” Frankel, 44, told People magazine (http://greatideas.people.com/2015/07/15/bethenny-frankel-hamptons-home/) her new Bridgehampton, New York, farmhouse she purchased in April. “I’ve moved around so much. And in the places I’ve rented, I hardly ever wanted to put pictures up because I didn’t feel like it’s mine.”

Her new five-bedroom country home and guest cottage is more than just a shelter.

“Everything here is easy,” Frankel said. “I’m not worried about people spilling stuff.”

It’s also a refuge from the onscreen drama of this season’s “The Real Housewives of New York City,” as well as the offscreen drama of her never-ending divorce from estranged husband Jason Hoppy.

The exes are still battling over money and the Tribeca apartment they once shared, which Frankel admits “never felt like home.”

Her new home, she said, “represents peace and freedom.”

“It’s like the Destiny’s Child song ‘Independent Women, Pt. 1’ — ‘Shoes on my feet, I bought ’em. I depend on me,’” Frankel recited. “I wanted to make it mine.

Now, Frankel can kick back and enjoy parties for her daughter Bryn, 5, and casual cookouts and cocktails with her pals.

“In New York, you’re always on the move,” Frankel said. “Here, it’s more fun to be home.”
