Bobbi Kristina Brown: Nick Gordon Breaks His Silence
— -- It's been almost two weeks since Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in her Roswell, Georgia home.
Her partner, Nick Gordon, hasn't spoken about the incident until now. The man who has been dating Brown for the better part of three years issued a statement through his attorney Randy Kessler.
Kessler first shot down reports that Gordon was going to take legal action to see Brown in the hospital, then added Gordon's "only concern is the recovery of Bobbi Kristina. He remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon."
Gordon, 25, is not officially family or married to Brown, 21, as reported shortly after her incident.
Gordon and Brown had told reporters previously they had wed last year, but Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, legal counsel for Brown's father, Bobby Brown, told ABC News earlier in the month: "To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon."
Gordon and Brown got together romantically shortly after the death of her mother, Whitney Houston, in 2012. Before that time, Gordon lived with Houston and her family for almost a decade.
Brown was found face down in her bath tub on Jan. 31 by Gordon and a friend Max Lomas, according to police.
She was taken to North Fulton Hospital, but then moved to Emory University Hospital days later.
Roswell Police also confirmed earlier this week that Brown's incident at her home is classified as a criminal investigation. That has always been the case, a spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The Roswell Police Criminal Investigation Division, who is investigating the incident, conducts criminal investigations," Lisa Holland, the Roswell public information officer, said in a statement to ABC News. "The incident has always been under criminal investigation and has not been reclassified as a criminal investigation. Criminal investigations may or may not result in criminal charges being brought against individuals."
Brown has been surrounded by family, including her father Bobby Brown, who has continued to ask for privacy while they monitor her condition.
"God is hearing our prayers," Brown told ABC News in a statement. "We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina."
