'Dancing With The Stars' 2011 Results: Wendy Williams, Tony Dovolani Voted Out
April 6, 2011— -- Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani became the second couple voted off the ABC series "Dancing With the Stars," but not everyone is upset the 46-year-old talk show host got the boot.
"My family is ecstatic," Williams said this morning on "Good Morning America." While on the show, Williams juggled producing her own talk show, "The Wendy Williams Show," and raising a 10-year-old child.
To be part of the show, Williams had to fly back and forth from Los Angeles to New York. She joked that "it takes a little bit more than an oatmeal scrub and a catnap to keep it together."
She offered a word of caution to future contestants on the show: "You'll be in the best shape of your life, but your whole life will be upside down."
Williams also responded to comments about her outfit last night by judge Len Goodman who said her "dumplings were boiling over." Williams noted this morning that costumes were made by "Dancing With the Stars."
"It's all in fun," Williams said. "I'm from Jersey so I appreciate the over-the-topness of it."
Last night, Williams said that had it been a competition on personality she would have won. "I just wasn't able to bring my personality to the dance floor because I'm not a dancer," Williams added today.
Dovolani said he and Williams clicked right from the start. "Our rehearsals were a lot of fun… I really didn't want it to end but at least we went out in style," he said this morning.
The two received with lowest overall combined total from Monday's performance show. The two lost over Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke, the second couple still in jeopardy when the boot was announced.
Despite that, Dovolani said Jericho and Burke may be the "dark horse" of the competition. "A lot of people don't see that fact that he's got a great presence, he holds himself really good."
Williams may not get to take that mirror-ball trophy home, but she sported a mini-version of it on her ring this morning. "I'm in transition… when I get to the Wendy Williams Show I'll retire this… and go back to my life as I know it..
