Pamela Anderson: 'Dancing With the Stars' Was a Dream Job
May 5, 2010— -- Pamela Anderson, who received a standing ovation as she took her final spin around the ballroom on "Dancing With the Stars" Tuesday night, said appearing on the show was "a dream job."
The actress and her professional dance partner, Damian Whitewood, were the latest couple to exit the competition, which is now down to the top five pairs.
Anderson said on "Good Morning America" today that she was initially nervous about dancing on live television, but "not anymore."
"I was just having fun with characters," she said. "It was like a little play every week. It was a great experience."
When asked why she decided to join the "Dancing" cast this season after being approached many times before, Anderson said, "I just decided to do it because it was good timing with my kids."
Despite turning in one of her most elegant performances in her final week and earning praise from the judges, who complimented her determination and performance, Anderson had the lowest individual score of the night this week, with a 24/30 for her waltz.
Her partner, Whitewood, called his first season on the show "fantastic," adding that he was most surprised and impressed by "the whole production side of it, everything else that goes on beside the dancing. It's such a huge production."
Of the five remaining dancers -- Erin Andrews, Niecy Nash, Chad Ochocinco, Nicole Scherzinger and Evan Lysacek -- "the frontrunners are there ... they're definitely leading the way," he said.
Anderson said, "The best dancers are going to win. They are going to win in the end. I'm going to rest. … I'm going to the beach."
"The Bachelor" star Jake Pavelka and professional partner Chelsie Hightower were sent home on the show's fifth elimination. The airline pilot and reality-TV star said that he and fiance Vienna Girardi have yet to set a wedding date, but he praised her for her support throughout the show.
Hightower said she wasn't surprised that the pair was sent home.
"We came out and we did our best and unfortunately didn't get enough votes," she said.
