With the FIFA World Cup one month away, a new anthem is rallying fans to a fever pitch.

Colombian superstar Shakira and Nigerian artist Burna Boy have teamed up to release "Dai Dai," the official song of the 2026 World Cup. An energetic and upbeat track, "Dai Dai" combines Afrobeats, dance pop, and reggaeton with a catchy chorus that rallies listeners with the words "Dai, dai, ikou, dale, allez, let's go."

The duo sing mostly in Spanish and English throughout the song, but it includes traces of other languages as well. The song's title is Italian for "come on, come on," while the chorus includes the same phrase, as well as the Japanese, Spanish and French versions of the phrase "let's go."

In addition to providing the vocals for "Dai Dai," Shakira also produced, composed and acted as lyricist for the song. Other lyricist-composers included Alexander "A.C." Castillo Vasquez, Ahmed Saghir, Ed Sheeran and Jon Bellion.

The release of "Dai Dai" comes one day after Shakira was announced as one of the co-headliners of the World Cup final halftime show, the first such show in FIFA World Cup history. Madonna and BTS will co-headline alongside the "Zoo" singer.

In a press conference Thursday, Shakira opened up about why she wanted to collaborate with the FIFA World Cup.

"Since I was 18, I've spent my entire life doing two things: making songs and building schools. So finally, during this World Cup, those two paths meet, come together and I'm very excited," she said. "I've created this song, 'Dai Dai,' specifically for this World Cup but also for so many kids around the world who don't have a voice and who are waiting for an opportunity -- kids who don't have access to quality education and kids who are being left behind."

Shakira's royalties from "Dai Dai" will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which provides access to education and soccer opportunities to children in underserved communities around the world, according to a press release from FIFA.

Sony Music has committed to matching the first $250,000 raised, the press release stated.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show will also support the Education Fund, FIFA said in a separate press release Thursday. The show is curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and will also feature characters from "Sesame Street," as well as The Muppets, the organization said.

Shakira is currently on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour and is set to perform five shows across California in June before heading to additional U.S. cities including Atlanta, Miami and New York City.

Burna Boy is also touring currently on his No Sign of Weakness Tour, which heads to Portugal in July.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News and The Muppets Studio.
