Speaking to the Associated Press earlier this month about the honor, she shared, "It’s always special. You always love to be acknowledged." She pointed out it's not her main focus, though, adding, "Like I’ve always said, ‘I don’t work for awards and rewards.'"

Williams' also celebrated their victory online, writing, "Humbled to have won 'Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song' for 'There Was Jesus' today at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. Thank you to @DollyParton and everybody who was involved in making this song. All glory, praise, and honor to Him!"

"There Was Jesus," released in 2019, also helped Parton achieve her first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs and Christian Airplay charts.
