Dolly Parton's nephew confirms firing, calls restraining order a 'publicity stunt'

The nephew of late music star Dolly Parton who served as her longtime head of security confirms he was fired after her death, and said a restraining order has been placed against him by Parton's team.

"The restraining order is spurious and simply a publicity stunt," Bryan Seaver said in a statement to ABC News Wednesday.

Seaver was the family member who officially announced Parton's death in a video message released after the "9 to 5" singer died on Aug. 25 at age 80.
