The high-energy music behind the pop band Wild Planes is reflective of the frenetic chemistry among the group's members.

Often labeled a "fun band," their music fuses together pop, rock, funk and R&B tunes.

Since their first rehearsal in 2016, they’ve grown closer and are booking bigger gigs while bringing their big personalities along for the ride.

Lead Singer and guitarist Kris Carmello, guitarist Sean Mac, bassist Jimmy "Ray" Hoag and drummer Andre Jevnik all stopped by Ginger Zee's dressing room at "Good Morning America" for a special episode of "Dressing Room Reveal."

Their first-ever dressing-room performance, the band decided to perform its hit "Take You There" -- a song about finding love and "making a move."

Carmello describes it as "fun, wild, and sexy."

Before performing live, they opened up to Zee about how their music comes together, starting with the beat.

As for the process, Carmello told Zee, ABC News' chief meteorologist, “We'll start -- we'll just play a riff. Sean will just play a riff on the guitar. They'll do a beat on drums. The song organically comes together with a beat, and if it sounds funky enough, maybe we haven't heard it before. It’s always music and lyrics. I like to think about what the song is portraying. That emotion."

The New York City-based band, which has opened for CeeLo Green, has performed at venues including The Gramercy Theater, Irving Plaza and Highline Ballroom.

The Wild Planes are currently promoting the release of their EP, "On the Rocks," which features fan favorites like "Not Too Young To Die," "Tell Nobody," "Another Lover" and "Lonely."

The band's new single, "Show Me Another Way," is available across streaming platforms.
