Ed Sheeran is getting candid about his end-of-life plans -- and he has a pretty good reason why.

In a new GQ profile, the "Shape of You" singer addressed the rumor that he'd build a crypt on his English estate, clarifying that he "wouldn't say it's a crypt."

Sheeran told the magazine he had built a chapel on his property as a place to mourn the people in his life who have died and were cremated. He also noted it's been a place for friends to get married, too.

The Grammy winner thought it was beautiful while watching it be built and decided he wanted to be buried there so his children could have a place to visit him.

"It's a hole that's dug in the ground with a bit of stone over it, so whenever the day comes and I pass away, I get to go there," he said.

Sheeran acknowledged that it's not exactly a topic people like to discuss but a conversation that should be had before it's too late.

He explained, "People think it's really weird and really morbid, but I've had friends die without wills, and no one knows what to do."

Sheeran, who recently released his latest album, "Autumn Variations," shares two daughters with wife Cherry Seaborn.
