Gabrielle Union recently shared a video of hairstyles she wore during her time as a judge on "America's Got Talent" with a strong message attached.

"Unapologetically me. Be comfortable and confident with your whole a-- self. It might give others the fluuuxxx but never stop being you," she captioned the video.

"You can shine on your own terms," she continued. "And if you got something to say [shrug emoji] I don't take notes rooted in anti-blackness. I love me as i [sic] am."

The video comes after it was announced that Union, along with Julianne Hough, will not be returning for the upcoming 15th season of the show.

Union was reportedly fired from her judging position on "America's Got Talent," and she claims it is because of her complaints about the show's culture.

Variety reported last month that Union and Hough often received "excessive notes" on their appearance -- allegedly noting that Union's frequently changing hairstyle was "too black" for the "AGT" audience.

Union's hairstylist, Larry Sims, shared a video documenting her past looks during her time on the show after the report was released.

"G A B R I E L L E ...Too Black? Nah... She’s FLAWLESS!!! @gabunion @flawlesshairday #ForTheCulture," he captioned his post.

Union shared a tweet expressing her gratitude for the support she received and said the feedback she got from fans gave her "specifically more courage."

She shared another update that she met with NBC days after the Variety report was released. She described her 5-hour conversation with NBC as "productive."

"I was able to, again, express my unfiltered truth. I led with transparency and my desire and hope for real change," she wrote.

A spokesperson for NBC also confirmed the meeting in a statement obtained by ABC News.

"The initial conversation was candid and productive," the statement read. "While there will be a further investigation to get a deeper understanding of the facts, we are working with Gabrielle to come to a positive resolution."
