Gwyneth Paltrow auctions off clothes, jewelry, household items and more for charity
If you've ever wanted to dress like Gwyneth Paltrow, now you can.
The Hollywood icon and "Marty Supreme" star is currently auctioning off hundreds of items ranging from clothing to jewelry to household goods, with bids open through Tuesday and Wednesday.
Some of the high-profile goods up for auction include the star's 1999 Christian Dior suede gown with a signed image (current bid $10,000), a sapphire and diamond bangle bracelet (current bid $5,000), and Paltrow's 2010 Atelier Versace Ombre evening gown with a signed image (current bid $4,000).
Paltrow's 2025 Spring Saint Laurent cat-eye sunglasses are also up for bid (current bid $250), as are two pairs of gold-plated earrings (current bid $200) and several additional timeless items.
Paltrow told Vogue in an interview last month that the idea for the auction came about during a conversation with actress Rashida Jones, after Paltrow lost some items in a storage unit fire.
"I have all this great stuff that doesn't go anywhere. I wish I could just have a huge garage sale," Paltrow recalled telling Jones, who suggested she contact Julien's, the Los Angeles auction house hosting this week's auction.
According to Vogue, proceeds from the auction will benefit the food nonprofit World Central Kitchen, founded by chef José Andrés, which serves up meals to people in disaster zones around the globe.
"José Andrés is an old friend of mine, and I just admire that mission so much," Paltrow told the outlet last month.
A description for auction on the Julien's site reads in part, "Since the mid-1990s, Paltrow's aesthetic has helped shape modern style. Her long-standing affinity for John Galliano, Dior, and Giorgio Armani, paired with her own contemporary vision through the goop brand, reflects a deep understanding of luxury living."
It continues, "This auction explores her confident presence and refined sensibility, with each piece rooted in its house's heritage and crafted with timeless fabrication. From fashion to interiors, Paltrow's aesthetic is a consistent throughline: intentional, nuanced, and transcendent of trends."
Paltrow told Vogue that one of the more difficult auction items to part ways with was a Baby Taylor guitar made by her and Tim McGraw after finishing the 2010 film "Country Strong."
She also highlighted a gray two-piece Atelier Versace ensemble that she wore to the Vision Awards in 2001.
"I wore that also to the Clinton White House for -- god, for something," she told Vogue last month. "I have a picture of me in that outfit holding a cigarette outside at the White House."
