Halle Berry Speaks Out for the First Time Since Filing for Divorce

— -- Halle Berry is finally opening up about her recent split with third husband Olivier Martinez.

At an event benefiting the Jenesse Center, an organization dedicated to domestic violence prevention and intervention, the "Extant" star told Extra she's "doing OK."

"I keep pushing and I'm really happy to be here because whenever you're going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that's always the best remedy for any situation that you'd rather not be dealing with," she said.

A little over a week ago, Berry and Martinez, both 49, announced they were divorcing after two years of marriage. When Berry was asked if Nahla, her seven-year-old daughter with Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, knows how strong her mom is, the actress answered, "Oh, yeah, you should be in my house!"

Berry also said that Maceo, the one-year-old son she shares with Martinez, has been dealing with the chicken pox since Halloween.
