Jeannie Mai shares video introducing daughter Monaco to the world
Jeannie Mai and her husband, rapper Jeezy, welcomed their daughter Monaco Mai Jenkins in January, but they hadn't shown images of the baby until Thursday.
In the latest installment of her YouTube series "Hello Hunnay," Mai introduced the couple's 5-month-old daughter to the world.
In the emotional monologue leading up to the reveal, Mai said she was "really nervous" for everyone to finally get a glimpse of her baby.
"It's such a weird combination between being so excited about something but knowing that the world is a really mean place sometimes," she said. "I can protect myself, I can block y'all, I can ignore the comments, but you can't do that with the baby, you know, so this is why it was so hard for me to get to this place to share Monaco."
"Please excuse the nerves cause this was the entire last five months but I promise I'm ready," she said before Monaco was carried out by her grandmother to meet mom on the couch.
Mai then delved into her journey as a new mom, including the anxiety she's experienced since giving birth.
