— -- Even though she's focusing on her adult crime fiction series right now, J.K. Rowling said she is not finished writing children's books just yet.

In an interview with Simon Mayo for the BBC Radio 2 Book Club, Rowling confirmed that she will continue to write children's books in the near future.

"I'm not going to give you an absolute date because things are busy and I've been writing a screenplay as well for 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,' which has been a lot of fun, but I will definitely write more novels under J.K. Rowling," she said.

"I've written part of a children's book, which I really love," Rowling revealed. "I will definitely finish that."

Rowling appeared on the radio show to promote her new book "Career of Evil," the third installment of the "Cormoran Strike" series, which Rowling wrote under the pen name Robert Galbraith.

Rowling admitted that writing as Galbraith has been "genuinely liberating," because it has given her the opportunity to escape the "hype" that surrounds her work. Rowling, of course, is the author of the best-selling "Harry Potter" books. Rowling did not, however, give any indication if her new children's books will include the "Harry Potter" characters.
