John Travolta shares tribute for late wife Kelly Preston on Mother's Day
John Travolta shared a heartfelt tribute for his late wife, actress Kelly Preston, on Mother's Day Sunday.
Alongside two throwback family photos, Travolta wrote, "Dearest Kelly, you brought into my life three of the most wonderful children I have ever known. Thank you."
"We love and miss you," he added. "Happy Mother’s Day." Preston died in July 2020 at the age of 57 after a silent battle with breast cancer.
Travolta and Preston shared three children together: Ella, 21, Benjamin, 10, and Jett, who died at age 16 in 2009 after suffering a seizure at their family's vacation home in the Bahamas.
Ella Travolta also shared a touching tribute for her late mother. "Mama, thank you for all you have done for us and for this world," she wrote. "I miss you and love you very much, but your smile, warmth and love is ever lasting."
"Wishing all of the moms a happy Mother’s Day❤️" she added.
In an interview with Esquire Spain published last month, the "Grease" actor opened up more about his grief in the wake of Preston's death.
"I learned that crying and mourning over someone is something personal," he said. "Mourning is individual and experiencing your own journey is what can lead to healing."
