— -- "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" fans may have to wait longer than they expected for a complete new season of the show.

The E! reality TV series is on hold, a spokesperson for the network confirmed to ABC News in a statement.

The news comes just days after one of the show's stars, Kim Kardashian West, was held up at gunpoint in Paris.

"Kim’s well-being is our core focus right now," the statement read. "No decision has been made as to when we will resume production.”

Kardashian West, 35, was seen leaving her New York City apartment yesterday with her family in tow, though it was not clear where they were headed. The reality star flew back from Paris to the Big Apple on Monday shortly after thieves, dressed as policemen, made their way into her hotel room and stole jewelry and smartphones while she was bound and locked in the bathroom.

"All of us at E! are incredibly thankful that Kim Kardashian West is safe, and we send her and her family our love and support," a spokesperson for E! said at the time. "'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' was not filming at the time of the robbery."

Kardashian West has not yet released a statement about the incident. "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" is expected to return to E! on Oct. 23.
