Meghan Markle shares rare photo of daughter following NYC Gala appearance

The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to mark International Day of the Girl, sharing sweet clips of her little girl alongside an empowering message for young women everywhere.

Meghan shared a heartfelt Instagram post with a video of daughter Lilibet and a photo of the the two of them holding hands.

“To all the girls — this world is yours. Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you," she captioned the photos.

"Go get ‘em girl! 🏃‍♀️ Happy International Day of the Girl," the post concluded.

The post comes after Meghan and Prince Harry appeared in New York City on Thursday, Oct. 9, stepping out for the annual Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala at Spring Studios.

Meghan elevated her outfit with a chunky gold chain necklace, minimalist makeup and a chic ponytail.

The next day, Meghan shared a personal moment from behind the scenes of the gala on her Instagram account. The black-and-white video showed the couple laughing together backstage as Sylvie Vartan’s “Baby, c’est vous” plays in the background.

“Happy World Mental Health Day,” Meghan wrote over the clip, tagging her husband with the sweet caption, “...to the man who always keeps me laughing.”
