Miley Cyrus has released her new song, "Secrets."

The "Something Beautiful" artist posted on Instagram celebrating the release of the song on Friday. The song features Fleetwood Mac musicians Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood.

"This song was written as a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved. In my experience, forgiveness and freedom are one and the same," Cyrus wrote in her post.

"Thank you to Lindsey Buckingham & Mick Fleetwood for bringing magic to the music. This song is for my dad," she added.

Cyrus' father Billy Ray Cyrus also reacted to the new song, posting a message of gratitude on Instagram along with a collage of videos of him and his daughter through the years.

"Best birthday gift a dad could ever ask for. ❤️ Thank you @mileycyrus for Secrets... a song straight from your heart to mine," he wrote in the post's caption. "The memories we've made together mean the world to me, and seeing you soar with your music makes me prouder every single day. Having Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood on this track is pure magic."

Last month, Billy Ray Cyrus shared on social media that the upcoming single was "a gift of music" to him from his daughter, adding that the song would feature music from members of the legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac.

In June, Miley Cyrus told Monica Lewinsky on her "Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky" podcast, "I wrote this song about my dad because I wanted him to tell me, even though they were secrets ... I wanted to be the one he felt safe enough to tell me the things that were damning and damaging to the family, but I wanted him to think that as a middle child, I'm old enough that I could take some of that."

She also addressed speculation about her relationship with her dad in a statement shared to her Instagram story on May 10.

"My dad and I have had our challenges over the years," she wrote at the time, according to E! News. "Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I'm at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing. Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family."

Earlier this week, Miley Cyrus teased her new music on Instagram.

"Secrets out Friday," she captioned the post.

After Miley Cyrus shared a snippet of the song on Tuesday, her father also took to Instagram, writing, "Secrets out Friday!!!! Can't wait for everyone to hear the whole song."

He added, "It's amazing!!!!"
