NeNe Leakes shares 'heavenly birthday' tribute to late husband Gregg
NeNe Leakes remembered her late husband Gregg Leakes on Tuesday, on what would have been his 67th birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum shared a photo of the two, in which she's seen embracing him from behind.
"Missing the man that always had a plan!" Leakes, 54, captioned the charming snapshot. "Today is a tuff one…every year on this date we would be out celebrating you! I can't believe we are wishing you a heavenly Birthday today. I feel like you went somewhere and you'll be back."
"I miss you everyday Gregg!" she added. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH."
Gregg Leakes died last September after a battle with colon cancer. At the time, a representative for the couple told ABC News that he had "passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones and wife NeNe Leakes."
Shortly after his death, NeNe Leakes spoke to People, saying the "last five days before his passing was really beautiful."
"All of his children were there. His best friends were there. Our closest friends were there. We all sat with him around the clock," she said at the time. "We talked a lot, and we made peace with what was happening."
