Paris Hilton, Boyfriend Cy Waits Both Unharmed After Being Accosted Outside Calif. Courthouse

April 28, 2011 — -- A man with a prior charge for trespassing on Paris Hilton's property allegedly accosted the socialite and her boyfriend Cy Waits Wednesday outside a Van Nuys, Calif., courthouse.

Hilton and Waits were not harmed.

The incident unfolded on camera.

In the video, Hilton and Waits are seen walking outside the courthouse – surrounded by reporters and cameras.

Then, someone comes up from behind and appears to grab at - or hit - Waits in the back of the head.

The man – later identified as James Rainford -- was quickly subdued by Hilton's bodyguard.

"Honey, are you okay?" Hilton could be heard asking Waits.

Then, Hilton said she recognized the alleged attacker.

"That's the guy who came to my house on the bike...that's the other intruder who came to my house on the bike. He attacked the security at my house," she said.

Rainford was arrested last October for trespassing on Paris' property. He pleaded guilty in that incident and was placed on probation.

While he was being taken into custody, Rainford, 36, told reporters that he wasn't trying to attack Hilton. He also told them that he had proposed to her and her father had given him permission.

Rainford was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a person and was being held on $20,000 bail.

Ironically, Hilton had been heading into Superior Court to testify against another man, Nathan Parada , who is accused of trying to break into the heiress' house last year.

After Wednesday's incident, Hilton tweeted:

"That other psycho intruder just punched Cy in the back of the head…So scary! :("
