Three-time Grammy Award winner Pink will host the 2026 Tony Awards, the singer-songwriter announced this week.

The artist made the announcement Thursday on Instagram, in a joint post with the Tony Awards.

"When I was asked to host @thetonyawards, my first question was -- don't you need to have been on Broadway for this? So I went ahead and fixed that. Kind of. And now I'm hosting the Tony Awards!!" Pink wrote.

A video shared in the post shows Pink backstage at a Broadway show, surreptitiously sneaking one leg onto the stage as a producer attempts to usher her away from the performance.

"Now I've been on Broadway. Now I can host the Tonys," she says in the video.

Her caption continued, "The Broadway community is the hardest working in showbiz. They show up every single night, sometimes twice, and make absolute magic."

She added, "I cannot wait to celebrate them all with you on Sunday June 7th on CBS."

Pink then thanked the Broadway production of "The Great Gatsby" musical for allowing her to "share the stage, even just for a moment."

The 79th Tony Awards are slated for June 7 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The show will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Pink joins a distinguished list of Tonys hosts, with past hosts including Cynthia Erivo, Ariana DeBose, Hugh Jackman, Audra McDonald, Leslie Odom Jr., James Corden, Neil Patrick Harris, Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming.
