Actor Dead at 63 of Suspected Suicide
The Oscar-winning actor and comedian died Monday in California. He was 63.
"At this time, the Sheriff's Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made," the Marin County Coroner said in a statement. "A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted."
"Robin Williams passed away this morning," the actor's rep Mara Buxbaum added in a statement to ABC News. "He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss."
Relatives, Celebrities React to Death on Twitter
Relatives, friends and celebrities ignited social media with reactions to the death of the beloved actor.
His daughter, Zelda Williams, posted a quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the French writer and poet.
"You - you alone will have the stars as no one else has them ... In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night ... You - only you - will have stars that can laugh," the quote reads.
She also wrote a statement following the quote: "I love you. I miss you. I'll try to keep looking up."

For decades, Robin Williams seemed nothing but jovial in many of his award-winning films, TV appearances and stand-up routines.
However, privately, the actor struggled with demons.
"He has been battling severe depression of late," his publicist told ABC News. "This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."
Conan O'Brien's On-Air Tribute
Late-night host Conan O’Brien learned about Williams' death during the taping of his TBS show Monday. At the close of the episode, O’Brien discussed the death with his audience, as guest Will Arnett and sidekick Andy Richter sat nearby.
“This is unusual and upsetting, but we got some news during the show that Robin Williams has passed away,” O’Brien said, as the audience gasped.
“I’m sorry to anyone in our studio audience that I’m breaking this news, this is absolutely shocking and horrifying, and so upsetting on every level.”
'Good Will Hunting' Fans Find the Perfect Way to Honor Actor's Memory
The older man sits next to the younger man on the bench, the one overlooking the water, talking about life.
Could have been any two men – but it happened to be Williams and Matt Damon, in a famous scene from 1997’s “Good Will Hunting.” Williams’ performance as Dr. Sean Maguire, a therapist struggling with the death of his wife, earned Williams the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
“You know what occurred to me? You’re just a kid, and you don’t have the faintest idea of what you’re talking about,” Williams’ character says during the scene.
Following Williams’ death Monday, age 63, that bench – located in Boston Public Garden – became a place of reflection, with his famous lines from the movie written in chalk.
Nick Rabchenuk left flowers at the bench, too.
