Robin Williams' kids honor him on the 8th anniversary of his death
Robin Williams' children paid tribute to their beloved father on the eighth anniversary of his death.
The actor's eldest child Zak Williams, 39, shared a heartfelt note to Twitter alongside a photo of the iconic actor.
"Dad, on the eighth anniversary of your passing, I'm remembering how incredibly kind and joyful you were. I deeply miss you you wonderful, hairy man and will be celebrating your life today," he wrote. "Love you so so much!"
Williams' only daughter Zelda didn't address her late father directly, but took to Twitter to share a thoughtful quote as well as suicide prevention resources.
The quote, which she attributed to Japanese author Haruki Murakami, read: "And once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in."
Zelda Williams, 33, then shared a series of tweets featuring screenshots of suicide prevention resources, asking her followers to "add any others you know of that may be helpful to others below too, so they can find them."
"I don't ask for much, but if I may, be gentle to your hearts today," she continued. "I know I'm trying. X."
Williams, a legendary stand-up comedian and Oscar winner who became famous for his turns in films like "Good Will Hunting," died by suicide at the age of 63 on Aug. 11, 2014. Williams was married to Susan Schneider at the time of his death and had three children, Zak, Zelda and Cody, now 30.
