"I have macular degeneration and glaucoma," she told the website, adding that the disease is why she smokes marijuana.

After being asked if macular degeneration would leave the "Roseanne" star blind, the 63-year-old replied, "yeah."

"My vision is closing in now. It’s something weird. But there are other weird things. That one’s harsh, ’cause I read a lot, and then I thought, ‘Well, I guess I could hire somebody to read for me and read to me,'" she added. "I just try and enjoy vision as much as possible -- y’know, living it up."

Barr added the marijuana not only helps to relieve her of the pressure in her eyes, but also has mental benefits.

“It’s expansive. It opens your mind. You’re like, 'Wow,' you’re in awe. You look up into the stars. It makes you wonder. It doesn’t close that down,” she said.

The interview was done in promotion of Barr's new documentary, "Roseanne for President!"
