— -- On Friday, it was announced that Rosie O'Donnell would be leaving "The View" and that she is also splitting from her wife of more than two years, Michelle Rounds.

O'Donnell did not address the exit on today's show and it's for a good reason -- even though this is her last week.

"Everybody wanted me to talk about it," she said today in a video on her website. "I didn't want to talk about it," adding that she's already done interviews and it's basically out there online.

At the time of the news last week, O'Donnell's rep told the New York Post, "Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave 'The View.' Next week will be her last."

Today, the comedian, 52, continued, "The truth is, I had a heart attack two years ago and stress is very bad for a heart attack survivors."

Her goal now is to cut down stress and maximize her well-being.

"I'm minimizing my stress by leaving 'The View,'" she added. "The stress I'm having at home is not easily as remediable. ... It's hard, marriages are complicated and I've got five kids ... There's lots of stuff going on at home."

O'Donnell continued that all she can control is work and that's what she's doing by eliminating that stress right now.

"It was no one's fault but mine that I didn't discuss it today," she said.
