Selena Gomez, Adam Lambert, Britney Spears and More Record Tribute Song for Orlando Victims

— -- Some of the music industry's biggest stars have joined hands to produce a musical tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting.

The single "Hands," featuring Mary J. Blige, Jason Derulo, Selena Gomez, Adam Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Nate Ruess, RuPaul, Jussie Smollett, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and Meghan Trainor, was released today by GLAAD and Interscope Records.

It can be purchased exclusively on iTunes. All proceeds from U.S. sales will benefit Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida and GLAAD.

The song was conceived by Justin Tranter, the co-writer of Justin Bieber's "Sorry." Tranter was with his songwriting partner Julia Michaels on the road with Selena Gomez when news broke of the shooting that killed 49 and wounded 53 others at the Pulse nightclub last month.

He quickly offered to help at Orlando's main LGBT community center.

"I called them and said, 'If I fly up is there something for me to help with?'" he told Billboard. "They said, 'We need as many hands as we can possibly get.'"

When Tranter met GLAAD CEO Sarah Kate Ellis, who arrived at the center the next day, "Hands" was born.

Other artists on the track include country stars Ty Herndon, Kacey Musgraves, Imagine Dragons, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles and Mary Lambert.

"Hands" is just the latest musical tribute to Orlando victims and their families.

Jennifer Lopez recently teamed up with Lin-Manuel Miranda, the genius behind "Hamilton," for the song "Love Make the World Go Round."

The track will benefit Somos Orlando, a campaign launched by the nonprofit Hispanic Federation that will provide case management, crisis intervention and mental health services to victims and their families, according to the organization's website.

Last month, more than 60 Broadway stars, including Audra McDonald, Idina Menzel, Wayne Brady, Matthew Broderick, Sara Bareilles, Kristen Bell, Gloria Estefan, Megan Hilty, Rosie O'Donnell, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sutton Foster, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bernadette Peters, Fran Drescher, Nathan Lane, Sean Hayes and Whoopi Goldberg, gathered together to record the 1965 song "What the World Needs Now is Love."

Proceeds from sale of the song, which is available on iTunes, are also going toward the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida.
