Is a "Wizards of Waverly Place" reboot in the works? No, as it turns out, but the Disney Channel show's stars Selena Gomez and David Henrie have something else in store for their fans.

The former on-screen siblings are teaming up for the first-ever interactive virtual movie premiere. It'll take place on August 28 for a movie titled "This Is the Year," directed by Henrie, 31, and executive-produced by Gomez, 28.

This announcement comes after the twosome teased fans with a cryptic video making them think "Wizards of Waverly Place," which ran for four seasons between 2007 and 2012, might be coming back in some way. Henrie and Gomez played Justin and Alex Russo on the series.

The premiere is a ticketed event, with guests getting access to a pre-show featuring music from the movie's soundtrack, behind-the-scenes footage, and a special introduction from Henrie and Gomez.

As for the actual movie, it's a feel-good film inspired by classic '80s high school flicks but focuses on issues teens face today. It follows a nerdy senior who tries to win over his dream girl by hitting the road with his buddies to see lovelytheband at a music festival. The cast includes "Wizards of Waverly Place" alums Gregg Sulkin and Jeff Garlin.
