Topher Grace and Wilmer Valderrama reflect on 'incredible' friendship during 'That '70s Show'
Former "That '70s Show" co-stars Topher Grace and Wilmer Valderrama are reflecting on their friendship decades after the show's premiere.
"You and I had this incredible connection from day one. I mean, you and I really became best friends right off the bat," Grace said to Valderrama on his podcast with actor Freddy Rodriguez on Friday.
Grace and Valderrama played adolescent friends Eric Forman and Fez in the series. The first season aired in 1998.
As the pair revealed, their shared friendship went far beyond the screen.
"I would come over to his folks' house and hang out a lot with your sisters," Grace said. He added that spending time with Valderrama's Venezuelan and Columbian family was an eye-opening experience coming from a "myopic" Connecticut town. "We did so many amazing things together," he said.

Grace also opened up on the value of having a friend who was experiencing the onset of fame at the same time.
"It's like scary and you're getting famous and you don't understand what's happening in your life but then to have such a good friend," Grace said of his co-star.
"His family also took me in the same way," Valderrama shared, noting that he visited Grace's home as well.
Valderrama and Grace starred in the show, which lasted eight total seasons, alongside Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Lisa Robin Kelly, Laura Prepon, Danny Masterson and more.
