Viola Davis shares video of her skydiving trip: 'The ultimate exercise in letting go, tackling my fears and freedom'
Viola Davis recently took the plunge during a daring skydiving adventure in Hawaii!
The 53-year-old Academy Award-winning actress shared a series of videos of her wild jump, which she described as, "the ultimate exercise in letting go, tackling my fears and freedom," in a social media post.
"So....I jumped out of a plane. Yup. I did it. 12,000 ft and 100mph drop. It was awesome...Loved it!!!" she captioned the video. "As a smart woman once said, 'Courage is fear said with prayers.'"
She added the hashtags "#BlackGirlMagicOrBlackGirlCrazy," "#GladIDidntWearAWig," "#WalkingInto2019WithASword" and "#ForgiveMeForMyCussWordsAndJackedUpHair."
Before making the leap, she told her tandem instructor, who she made the jump with, "I'm feeling a little anxious, but I'm ready. I feel alive."
"As long as you’re not nervous, I’m fine!” she added. "My will is done, signed, sealed, delivered," she joked.
Many of the actress' famous friends commented their reactions to the funny videos she shared. "Oh my word!! Much respect!" Lupita Nyong'o wrote on the post. "Welcome to the club !! Isn't it amazing !! Congrats !!!" Janelle Monáe added.
"This is so awesome," Gabrielle Union commented. "My palms are so sweaty watching this!!! Much respect indeeeeed!!" Sarah Paulson added. "Go! Go! Go!" Shonda Rhimes wrote.
Davis also posted another snap from her trip to Hawaii with her family. "My loves. My heart," she captioned the shot.
