If it's one thing all mothers struggle with, it's balance.

It's an elusive concept for the everyday mom, but it turns out famous moms struggle with the same things.

I love playing Angie because we discuss how hard the struggle is to feel like you are enough.

Leighton Meester is the star of the new ABC sitcom "Single Parents" and on the cover of this month's Shape magazine.

In real-life, she and husband Adam Brody are parents to three-year-old Arlo. On the show, she's Angie, a single mom to a first-grader.

Meester told Shape, "I just don't believe in balance. I think that's not possible if you're a working mother -- and with single mothers, I can not even imagine that. I love playing ['Single Parents' character] Angie because we discuss how hard the struggle is to feel like you are enough. Some days my husband makes dinner, and some days I do. Other days, I'm too tired, and I eat a bowl of cereal for dinner. It's just the thing we do to make it work."

She also gave some a relatable example of what self care looks like now.

"I'm also making time for soaks in the tub, even though there's often a toddler in there with me," she said.
