A brother and sister in Ohio are being hailed for helping to save a school bus driver during a medical emergency.

In video footage shared by Crestview Local Schools in Ashland, Ohio, Charlie, 14, and Catrina, 8, can be seen rushing to the aid of their bus driver last week.

Catrina, a third-grader, was at the front of the bus and noticed something was amiss with their driver and asked if she was OK.

After the driver shakes her head no, Catrina heads to the back of the bus to alert other students and her brother, seventh-grader Charlie.

As the video clip shows, Charlie then uses the bus radio to call for help.

“When I realized that something was going on, [I] went up there and grabbed the radio and then called the school because I knew that that was the quickest way to get help,” Charlie told ABC affiliate WEWS.

Charlie, 14, and Catrina, 8, spoke to ABC News affiliate WEWS.

The siblings remained calm and took quick action.

"My brother ... in the inside when something's going wrong, he's scared but on the outside, he's like calm and concentrated," Catrina also told WEWS.

Crestview Local Schools Superintendent Jim Grubbs shared an update after the Dec. 19 incident, explaining that in addition to Catrina and Charlie, another student, an 8th grader named Kali, also helped in the situation, instructing students to move to the back of the bus and called 911.

Grubbs also explained that the driver was taken to the hospital and a backup bus driver later finished transporting the students to school.

According to WEWS, the driver was later discharged from the hospital and said she had made a point to teach students how to use the bus radio and was glad they were listening.

Catrina told WEWS she feels "proud and happy with myself and happy that we got [the driver] all better now."
