Trump again calls Harris 'mentally impaired'

A day after calling Harris "mentally impaired," Trump used similar language against Harris and President Joe Biden at a rally on Sunday in Pennsylvania.

"Crooked Joe became mentally impaired. Sad, but lying Kamala Harris, honestly, I believe she was born that way,” Trump told a crowd in Erie, Pa. “There's something wrong with Kamala, and I just don't know what it is, but there is definitely something missing."

At a rally in Wisconsin on Saturday, Trump declared, “Kamala is mentally impaired. “If a Republican did what she did, that Republican would be impeached and removed from office, and rightfully so for high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Justice Department sues Alabama over alleged voter purge

The Department of Justice sued the State of Alabama and its top election official on Friday for allegedly removing voters from its election rolls too close to the November election.

Last month, Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen announced that he had begun inactivating the voter registrations of 3,251 people who had been previously issued noncitizen identification numbers.

The National Voter Registration Act prohibits states from removing voters from rolls within 90 days of a federal election, and Alabama's voter roll maintenance commenced 84 days ahead of the November election, the Justice Department alleged.

Walz attends Michigan-Minnesota game

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz sat in a suite at the ‘Big House' on Saturday watching the University of Minnesota, his state’s college football team, play the University of Michigan following a rainy morning spent with students, Michigan fans and athletic staff and the Gophers’ head coach, PJ Fleck.

The governor landed earlier this morning – dressed in a blue ‘Harris-Walz’ sweater, not his Gophers’ maroon and gold– in nearby Superior Charter Township, where he greeted student organizers at the airport.

These students had shuttled a yellow school bus onto the tarmac that said ‘Put me in Coach’ along with other decorations. He was also greeted by Rep. Debbie Dingell and Wayne County Executive Warren Evans.

Walz then made his way to Michigan’s stadium and met with Wolverine fans at a tailgate outside. He called the stadium a "shrine to football," and talked with several fans.

Going inside the stadium, Walz walked down a tunnel and onto the field before greeting a familiar face– Minnesota’s coach Fleck. First Lady Gwen Walz also came over to have a conversation as well.

The Walzes then spoke with five Minnesota cheerleaders and had some fun moments with Goldy Gopher, Minnesota’s mascot. He also met with some Michigan athletics staff.

Later in the evening, former President Donald Trump was scheduled to attend the Georgia Bulldogs-Alabama Crimson Tide game.

Harris pushes for more resources for Border Patrol agents

Vice President Kamala Harris was asked by reporters what she had discussed earlier with Border Patrol agents while touring the border wall in Arizona.

The vice president said the agents work long hours and need more support.

"I’m here to talk with them about what we can do to continue to support them and to also thank them for the hard work they do," she said.

Trump, campaigning in Michigan, talks about Harris and Zelenskyy

In what was supposed to be an event focusing on manufacturing jobs, Trump spent a significant amount of time slamming Harris for her border visit as "ridiculous."

Directly blaming Harris for a number of border issues, Trump vowed to hold Harris "accountable for these crimes" and she "will be sent back to California" after the election.

He also further discussed his meeting earlier Friday with Zelenskyy, again suggesting he'll quickly end the war despite him not providing specifics on how he'd do so.

"I will settle the war in Ukraine. I met with President Zelensky today, a good meeting ... We're going to make a settlement, believe me, and I will end the chaos in the Middle East," Trump claimed.
