Amber Alert Issued for Two South Carolina Toddlers

Dec. 22, 2010 — -- An Amber Alert has been issued for two young South Carolina sisters who authorities say could be in danger.

Kynadi Manley, 1, and Alexis Manley, 2, were last seen late Tuesday night when their aunt put them to bed. The aunt called to report the girls missing just after 6:30 this morning, according to Pickens County Sheriff's communications specialist Lisa Ellison.

Ellison said it is believed that the girls are "in danger" and are likely with their 20-year-old birth mother, Keyly Wade, who does not have legal custody of the girls.

Lt. J.B. Kelley, from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office, told ABC News affiliate WLOS that law enforcement are "very concerned" about the missing girls.

"At this point, it's just unusual for two children to just come up missing out of placement with family members," said Kelley.

Alexis is believed to be wearing purple pajamas with a monkey design and her sister Kynadi is wearing pink pajamas with a turtle design.

Their mother is described as being 5 feet 5 tall, with shoulder length hair and a "Keyly" tattoo on her back.

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a red Honda Civic with a South Carolina license plate with the number 8850EH. The car is missing a passenger-side rear hubcap, has tinted windows and a dent on the driver's side of the hood.

Anyone with information on Alex or Kynadi Manley's whereabouts are asked to call 864-898-5500.
