— -- Atlanta authorities said today they are hoping surveillance video from a nanny cam will help them identify the alleged armed robber they say is responsible for terrorizing residents in the Buckhead area in the last two weeks.

"[It] looks like we have some good leads of him possibly being involved in three recent issues," Capt. Sharonne Steed said today. "He seems to be by himself -- we're not sure."

In the late morning Friday, police said Barbara Lyles Anderson was home when a man entered her home through an unlocked kitchen door as she lie in her bed watching TV.

According to the police report, she said she'd heard someone in her house and then saw a man carrying "what appeared to be a black assault style rifle."

Lyles Anderson told ABC News today that the man pointed the gun's red laser at her head as he walked into her bedroom Friday.

"He said, 'Lay down on the bed with your face in the pillow,'" she said. "That's when I thought he's going to rape me and then he's going to murder me."

She said he left with several pieces of jewelry, a tablet, television and her cellphone.

"I'm just lucky that he didn't hurt me and didn't get anything else," she said.

That same day, about an hour later just four miles up the road, police said a man fitting the description of the man at Lyles Anderson's home broke into another house but this time he was captured on surveillance video.

Police said the couple who own the home were not there at the time.

"The male walks in the residence and began to move the TV from the family room wall along with a laptop computer. ... Shortly after the male returns bearing what appeared to be a black AK-47 assault rifle," a police report said.

Police said today they now think the man is also connected to a robbery in a nearby park about a week ago.

According to police reports, on Aug. 10, a photographer was scouting a park site when she was approached by a man "with a large gun." The photographer described the weapon as an "assault rifle with a pistol grip on it" and black in color.

She said the man told her to "face the wall and to get on the ground," according to the report. The man then removed her keys from her purse and searched her car, taking several Apple devices, before leaving.

Authorities, who urged residents to contact authorities with any information, said they were working on a police sketch of the man.

"We take this very seriously first of all," Steed said. "This is very pretty brazen and scary. ... We're using all our resources and efforts to make sure that we go ahead and get this gentleman as quickly as possible."
