Courtney Clenney, a former OnlyFans model, pled guilty to manslaughter on Monday in the fatal stabbing of her 27-year-old boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, in Miami in 2022.

Clenney was originally arrested for second-degree murder with a deadly weapon in August 2022 after Miami-Dade County prosecutors issued a warrant for her arrest, police said.

Clenney was sentenced to six years in prison, including the four years of time served, followed by five years of probation.

"With this plea agreement, Christian Obumseli's family finally heard what they long sought: Courtney Clenney accepting full responsibility for his death," Katherine Fernandez Rundle, the state attorney prosecuting the case, said in a statement on Monday. "The plea was reached in full consultation and approval of Christian's family."

Clenney was a social media personality prior to her arrest and went by the name Courtney Tailor online.

"For more than four years, we've lived with the loss every day and waited for accountability. Today closes a legal chapter, but it certainly doesn't close our grief. No sentence, no plea, can bring back my son to me," the family said in a statement Monday.

Obumseli died of a stab to the chest with a knife, which punctured his subclavian artery, the Miami-Dade County's chief medical examiner determined, Fernandez Rundle said in a press conference on Aug. 11, 2022.

"While nothing can heal the wounds caused on that day in April, I hope today's guilty plea brings his family a measure of justice too long denied," Fernandez Rundle said in Monday's statement.

Clenney was first arrested on Aug. 10, 2022, in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii, for the stabbing, which took place months earlier on April 3, 2022, police said.

Frank Prieto, Clenney's defense attorney, had argued in 2022 that Obumseli was abusive toward Clenney and that his client had acted in self-defense, according to ABC News' Miami affiliate WSVN.

The couple was allegedly involved in an "extremely tempestuous combative" relationship since November 2020, and their apartment building documented many incidents of loud arguments between the two, according to Fernandez Rundle.
