Former University of Michigan coach Sherrone Moore takes plea deal
Sherrone Moore, the former University of Michigan coach who was arrested in December on home invasion charges, pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor counts -- malicious use of a telecommunications device and trespass -- on Friday.
His sentencing will be April 14. Moore will remain subject to GPS monitoring for the time being, according to the judge.

Moore, 40, was charged with home invasion, stalking in a domestic relationship and breaking and entering in a domestic relationship after he was arrested on Dec. 10 at the apartment of a woman with whom he reportedly had an affair.
The university fired Moore prior to his arrest that day, claiming in a statement that "credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member."
As part of the plea deal, the three initial charges against Moore were dropped. The prosecution said it does not believe there is evidence to prove domestic violence in this case.
Moore and his attorneys did not immediately comment on the deal.
Police said they received a 911 call from the victim's attorney, Heidi Sharp, on Dec. 10. She told officers that Moore, a married father of three, was in her client's apartment and was attacking her, investigators said.
Sharp told Detective Jessica Welker of the Pittsfield Township Police that her client called her to say "Sherrone is here." Moore had armed himself with a knife, Sharp said, adding that she could hear screaming over the phone, according to the detective's testimony in a probable cause hearing.

The alleged incident happened after Sharp and her client had left the University of Michigan after filing a report, Welker said.
Sharp told the detective that Moore allegedly grabbed two knives out of a drawer and pointed them at the alleged victim, saying, "You ruined my life. You ruined my life" while backing her toward the living room, according to Welker's testimony.
Court documents claimed Moore allegedly "grabbed some butter knives and a pair of kitchen scissors and threatened to take his own life," but stopped when the victim said she was going to call the police.
