Like many of our "Good Morning America" viewers we questioned Rocco's use of black beans in brownies. Almost anticipating the skepticism Rocco wrote in his cookbook "Now Eat This: America's Favorite Comfort Food" that the "beans add moisture and texture—not to mention fiber and protein" without taking away any of the fudgy flavor we look for. Rocco also uses cocoa powder and espresso to give the brownies a rich chocolaty taste, but he also suggests trying cocoa nibs if deep dark chocolate is your preference.
