— -- The FBI arrested a Colorado bank robbery suspect dubbed the “Scream Robber” who was placed the agency’s top ten most wanted list last month.

Myloh Jaqory Mason was apprehended by the FBI on Friday afternoon at a Motel 6 in Thornton, Colorado, the agency said. He was suspected of two bank robberies in suburban Denver last year.

In a robbery on Sept. 30, Mason and two others wore costumes and masks from the horror movie “Scream” and told bank tellers they would die if they didn’t open the vault, the FBI said.

Mason and two others wore bright green and white skeleton masks when they robbed another bank in Lakewood on November 18, the agency said, adding that as they were getting away, they shot two people.

Mason was arrested on charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, attempted second-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault, and second-degree assault, said the FBI. He also faced a federal charge of a convicted felon in possession of a ballistic vest.

“The capture of this dangerous felon means our community is safer, because we believe Mason would have continued committing violent crimes while he was on the run,” FBI Denver Division Special Agent in Charge Thomas Ravenelle said in a statement. “I thank each of the task force members for their hard work and commitment, as they worked day and night to get him behind bars.”

Jail records did not list an attorney for Mason.
