— -- Love was in the air -- 1,454 feet in the air -- in New York City today.

In honor of Valentine's Day, 100 couples exchanged vows at the top of the Empire State Building.

Two of the lucky newlyweds were Salvatore and Christina Canzoneri, who renewed their vows this morning atop the iconic building.

"We're honored to have come together today in the heart of New York City," officiant and Empire State Building Observatory Director Jean-Yves Ghazi began.

As Salvatore Canzoneri stood tall in his suit, Christina Canzoneri clutched flowers in her hands as her hair blew in the cold, winter wind.

Salvatore and Christina Canzoneri renew their wedding vows at the top of the Empire State Building.

"In marriage the little things are the big things," Ghazi said in the ceremony. "It is never being too old to hold hands. It is about accepting and loving each other's quirks. It is remembering to say 'I love you' at least once a day.

"It is not only marrying the right person, it is being the right partner," Ghazi added.

Salvatore Canzoneri said "I do," followed by Christina Canzoneri. They exchanged rings, were pronounced husband and wife and sealed the moment with a kiss.

These ceremonies are an annual Valentine's Day event -- the only day of the year couples can get hitched at the Empire State Building.
