Jennifer Lopez will receive the 2019 CFDA Fashion Icon Award
Jennifer Lopez has had many head-turning looks throughout the trajectory of her career, and this summer, the Council of Fashion Designers of America is honoring her amazing style.
The CFDA announced the iconic singer and actress will receive the 2019 Fashion Icon Award in June, and many people are echoing the same sentiments: "well deserved!"
On Instagram, the highly acclaimed council posted a video with J.Lo along with words from designer and CFDA chairwoman Diane Von Furstenberg.
"Jennifer Lopez uses clothes as a way to express confidence and power," she said.
President and CEO of the CFDA Steven Kolb is also quoted, saying, "Jennifer Lopez’s style is bold, uninhibited, and always memorable."
The 49-year-old "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer joins a powerful lineup of former CFDA Fashion Icon recipients such as Beyoncé, Kate Moss, and Rihanna.
This year's CFDA Awards ceremony will take place at the Brooklyn Museum on June 3.
There's no official word on what Lopez will wear yet, but there's a huge chance it will be amazing and unforgettable.
