Laverne Cox now has her very own Barbie doll, an honor she said is a "dream."

The toymaker revealed on Wednesday that it would be celebrating the Emmy award winning actress' 50th birthday, May 25, with a Tribute Collection Barbie doll.

The doll is dressed in a deep red tulle gown over a sparkling silver metallic bodysuit. It also has bright blonde, voluminous hair to mirror Cox's signature style.

"It's been a dream for years to work with Barbie to create my own doll," Cox said in a statement. "I can’t wait for fans to find my doll on shelves and have the opportunity to add a Barbie doll modeled after a transgender person to their collection."

"I hope that people can look at this Barbie and dream big like I have in my career," she added. "The space of dreaming and manifesting is such a powerful source and leads you to achieve more than what you originally thought was possible."

Cox worked closely with Barbie to create a doll that properly reflected her image, and she was heavily involved throughout the entire process.

The company's design team started by sending initial sketches of the gown that would be worn by the doll, skin tone samples and body sculpts to be reviewed by Cox. She expressed to the team that her favorite color was a deep, oxblood red, and also shared images of some of the stand-out pieces in her wardrobe.

"We couldn't be more excited to celebrate award-winning actress, producer, writer and LGBTQ+ rights trailblazer Laverne Cox with a doll," Lisa McKnight, executive vice president and global head of Barbie and Dolls at Mattel, said in a statement. "We are proud to highlight the importance of inclusion and acceptance at every age and to recognize Laverne's significant impact on culture with a Tribute Collection Barbie."

In addition to the Tribute Collection Laverne Cox collectible doll, Barbie is also making a donation in Cox's name to TransFamilySOS, a nonprofit on a mission to create a more gender-affirming and accepting community.

The doll retails for $40 and is sold online at several mass retailers. You also can shop it now below.
